- • English Clinic 1 & 2: KAIST undergraduate and graduate students
- • EE Clinic: Graduate students in the Department of Electrical Engineering
Overview
The English Clinic is a free service that allows students to receive 25-minute sessions of one-on-one or group consultations with EFL instructors and student tutors on English speaking and writing.
Consultations are offered in two categories: Conversation and Writing, and students may select specific topics within each category according to their needs.
Consultation Topics
Students may receive consultations on the following topics: Emails written in English, Résumés and cover letters, Feedback on English writing, English interview preparation,
General conversation.
For conversation sessions, selecting a topic in advance will help make the consultation more effective (e.g., travel conversations, phone calls, social conversations)
※ For thesis or academic paper editing, students are encouraged to use the professional editing services provided by the Language Center.

- ③ The consultation begins after the host (instructor or tutor) admits you.
- ※ If the previous session is still in progress, please wait until you are admitted.
Important Notes
- ① Cancellations must be completed by midnight, two days before the session, and students may reserve up to two sessions per week.
- ② Reservations for the upcoming month open on the 25th of each month at 14:00, even on public holidays.
- ③ Sessions will be automatically canceled for no-shows or arrivals more than 5 minutes late.
- ④ Penalties apply for absences without prior cancellation (see No-show Policy).
- ⑤ Consultations are conducted one-on-one by default, but group consultations may be allowed if necessary.
- ⑥ For writing samples exceeding 3 pages (A4, 12pt), please use the Language Center’s paid editing service for the additional pages.
(Writing consultations are intended to support skill development and are not professional editing services.) - ⑦ Using another person’s account will result in a permanent ban from all clinic services.
No-show Policy
- • 1st No-show: Access restricted for one week immediately following the session.
- • 2 or more no-shows: Access restricted for the entire remainder of the semester.
